How to apply for Overseas Educational Programmes

The admissions to all programmes, for overseas Pakistanis, are offered twice a year

  1.    Autumn Semester: Starts from 1st week of August.
  2.    Spring Semester: Starts from 1st week of February.

The overseas Pakistanis seeking admission in any of the above programmes are advised to visit our website for applying. Download Prospectus, Fill in the admission form, Attach required documents (Attested Photocopies) and pay admission fee in form of Bank Draft/ ABL Fee Collection PAK Rupees Convertible Account from overseas OR Bank Challan in Pakistanis Rupees and send it to the our postal address.

The duration of study period during each semester is eighteen weeks after which the final examinations are conducted at Pakistan International schools/Pakistani Embassies.

In a semester a student can take admission in a maximum of two credit courses i.e. two full credit courses OR one full and two half credit courses OR four half credit courses only.

Step by step admission procedure is as below:

      • Please download admission form and fill it up. Click here to download admission form OR fill up the online admission form.  Click here for Online Admission Form for overseas students
      • Take printout of the filled online admission form
      • Attach two Passport Size Photographs without attestation.
      • Attach attested photocopies of Passport, Visa and CNIC.
      • Attested copies of the educational documents (Mark sheet/Certificates) should be attached with the printout admission forms.
      • See Fee Payment Procedure for payment of fees.
      • Clearly mention your overseas postal address including PO Box, telephone number and valid email address on the admission form. Also please mention your Pakistani address and telephone numbers.
      • Send admission form along with above mentioned necessary documents on following address via postal/courier services on or before the last date:

      Dear Usman,
      As apparent from your qualification your next admission may be in M.sc Computer Science for some other Masters level programme of your choice. Unfortunately AIOU does not offer Masters level programme in overseas mode.

      Per course fee for BA is $110, in first semester you have to take 4 courses totaling to (4x$110)+$10=$450, $10 is one time registration fee. The Admission Procedure is given on the website. Please download the Prospectus and admission form and follow the procedure for payment of admission fee. For details please email us on overseas@aiou.edu.pk

      Dear Farman Ullah,
      AIOU does not offer Masters level programmes in overseas mode. We are planning to announce B.Ed programme in near future. Please be in touch if you are interested in B.Ed degree from AIOU.

  18. It is not appropriate to charge in dollars, firstly we do not even know whether it is recognized worldwide.
    Secondly no information about exam centers…

      AIOU is worldwide recognize university, you may check HEC Pakistan website for details. As far as fee is concern the student may deposit fee in Pak rupees too equivalent to USD on that day.
